  1. Do you think I could get these if I have orthotics cause inthe Kobe vii I couldn’t due to my foot resting so heigh up and an extremely tight fit

  2. these are actually looking good
great breathability, and the material looks incredibly comfortable and light
this will be an upgrade compared to the last model where “low and light” was not aparent, as they were one of nikes heavier shoes
get these below the 11oz mark and theyve got a winner
(as long as the traction ect holds up 😉 )

  3. i think this’ll come with zoom air and lunarlon cushion just like the aj2011.
nice but i still think they’re ugly as far as design. lol

  4. i never like Kobe series… but if they come with Lunarlon, i dun mind getting a pair. =)

btw any1 bottom-up their lunarlon shoe yet? FlyWade2/EV, Superfly, Hypergamer, Hdunk2012 etc?

    1. I’ve worn the Fly wade 2 ev for 5 months now, and the lunarlon is still as cushy and responsive as ever, much better than my experience with the kobe 4s, where the lunar foam just bottomed out after 3 months.

i think in terms of increasing longevity of lunar foam nike has nailed it with lunarlon.

  5. seriously, i was so excited about how kobe viii would be. now it turns out become this ugly looking shoes with stupid Lunarlon. where is the FXXXX zoom??!!!! I hope the final version could be much better that this in any aspet.

  6. Would be nice if they had a Lunarlon insole along with embedded zoom units in the midsole.

I just don’t know if that little insert would be enough to hold up on the court. The sole doesn’t look very thick to begin with.

  7. Guys, this is so obvious, there was no cushion technology branding on the outside of the shoe itself, making it clear that there would be an interchangable system resembling that of the last AJ.
I think going with Lunarlon is excellent and the shoe is shaping up to be a great performer. And the upper seems to be doing away with the stiffness of the Kobe 7 which was a blocky, unusable shoe imo. Esthetically, it looks pathetic. Heel racing stripes? What is this, your dad’s old Camaro?!

  8. I don’t understand this lunarlon hate thing.
It’s not a bad cushioning system at all. I personnally prefer lunarlon to zoom.(or foam-based>air based in general)
